If you take in a jailbroken iPod to an Apple store, they won't know what to do with it as it's not their software on it, not to mention that when you jailbreak it, you loose your warranty.

You will probs have to restore it back to the original software and take it in before they have a look.

yh agreed no point taking it apart iv tried that just restore it and return to apple

or just look on ebay for a cheap headphone jack and replace it yourself

You would need to back everything up, restore it, then play dumb at apple. CLOSED.
