ill probably not a real virus, probably just some spyware. have a friend download a virus program onto a flash drive and install on your computer. It might not work but it won't make it worse.

Hey I kinda know.
When you bought your laptop/desktop you might have recieved discs. Maybe 2 or more? Well if you did(it would be a newer model and I believe dell but not sure what manufacturers make them) Well if you did they would be 'Recovery Disc 1' 'Recovery Disc 2'. Well you put them in, in numerical order obviously. Then you follow the directions and it will download back to the original computer. You will loose all of your files though. I had to do this. Call the place you bought it from or just call BestBuy they do pretty good with their Geek Squad. This may seem kind of confusing as I havn't done this in a while but I hope it works.

Using Recovery disks is the very last step in removing a virus. Especially just one virus. You usually want to use Recovery disks when you have months of pornography related viruses and sixty different spyware programs to the point where your computer refuses to run because of it. Anything before that single point can be fixed using a virus program.

Kaspersky is known to be the best virus program out there. Hands down, it will fix it. Kaspersky is endorsed by me(which in my opinion, is a good enough endorsement), hackers, most companies, and so on. It's not free, but you could always get a trial or (dare I say) warez it.

If not that, HiJackThis is a great program as long as you are tech savvy and know how to use it. You can just open it up, go to processes, shut off any processes that seem kind of weird/awkwrd/unknown, as well as update your start up list and all that, very quickly. It tends to do wonders.

Jcm is a bit right, but I suggest going to restore points then get an Internet security ( anti-virus )and Terminate the culprit.

What you have sounds familiar to some viruses I recently took care of on my friends computer. The program wants you to buy bogus Virus Protection Software so they can get money, by saying that you have a virus on your computer. They will also block web pages on your computer and slow it down immensely. I used a very good program called Malware Bytes to get rid of the virus.

You can download it here: You must login or register to view this content.

Just have it run a full scan (which will take on average 15 minutes.) Then remove all infected items it has found. It's pretty self explanatory.

Ha. I only came here because I heard you were running your own forum. So I was like OUTSIDER?! Hah. Dark*- told me about it when he got on and saw my screen name of five years and going still online. You're the only familiar face on here though, nobody else. Hah. Looking at the photo albums, I was like christ. Now I feel like 40rd and Nova looking at all the little nine year olds posting pictures of themselves.

Of course, not doing gaming anymore. I've got a girlfriend, a computer internship, college, filming with Krash, building a website, modeling, and creating programs for my modeling agency that deal with their media aspect(iPhone apps etc). I miss compiling those glitch archives though.

I saw some of the COD4 Exo videos, hah. My friends were showing me some glitch videos on how to do some on COD4(well, showing each other. I was laying around cleaning my paintball gun), and saw Exo and then saw your name and was like Gasp I know those guys!

On Top of the Game
My laptop had a virus that would have ads for everything pop up when I would just start the computer.
