Post: BSOD - can anyone help me?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi, i have been gettin the BSOD for about a month now, and its hit and miss, sometimes as soon as i turn it on i get it, and sometimes i dont.

I was wondering if anyone can help me to fix the BSOD or any advice on what to do.

And if it involves saving my data externally i can do that

EDIT: i dont know if this will help anyone but i have windows vista and i am using a toshiba laptop

boot your computer in safe mode and it should work. it will keep you from being able to use some programs though.

ye but safe mode sucks and i can use it sometimes i just wana find out wts up with it, and another problem has just happened, windows update wont instal any updates, ideas?

Vista is notorious for problems.

A sure fire thing that would definitely fix this problem is to back up all your data to a hard drive, applications and so on, and then reinstall windows. Make sure to choose the option to reformat when you do so. This will get rid of any errors in the HDD.

ye i ended up doin that, a major pain putting everything bak on tho still aint done it all

Well If you are running Vista 64 bit, I would just redo your computer but if its Windows 32 Bit you should just get windows XP,
