(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i need help formatting my hard drive cause it says i need to before tranferring, etc. But everytime I try formatting it with the Seagate software, it says "Partition Creation Failed" :(

Someone said that I could manually do it with Windows or something :\

What format are you trying to format it to?! And by manually I think that they mean right click, press format and go from there! Smile

Step 1: Partition the hard disk
Insert the Windows XP CD into your CD or DVD drive, or insert the first Windows XP Setup disk into the floppy disk drive, and then restart the computer to start the Windows XP Setup program.

Note If you are using the Windows XP Setup disks, insert each additional disk when you are prompted, and then press ENTER to continue after you insert each disk.
If you are prompted, select any options that are required to start the computer from the CD or DVD drive.
If your hard disk controller requires a third-party original equipment manufacturer (OEM) driver, press F6 to specify the driver. For more information about how to use F6 to supply a third-party OEM device driver while the Windows Setup program is running,

i would but it doesn't even should up when i go to "My Computer" but it'll show up on the software, and my mac.

i have a seagate 1TB HD that i formatted, i have like 8 partitions each formatted differently, pm me and i will give you the link for the tool seeing as its to another site
