Post: Minecraft lags on my brand new laptop!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well I bought a brand new laptop today its a Samsung RC510, it has an i3 processor which runs at 2.53ghz, 4gb ram, nVIDIA GeForce GT315M graphics and a 500gb hdd, I downloaded minecraft and it runs at 8 fps and is barely playable with the lag, ive tried setting javaw.exe to high and when i set it to only 1 core it ran even worst, ive tried just waiting for the map to load nothing works, help would be apreciated thanks guys!

Make sure your graphics card is updated and all your other drivers.

At least I can fight
Try running the game as Administrator and make sure your computer is on High Performance.
Also change the Video option in game from Fancy to Fast

Ok ive tried that nothing helps :(, it goes up to 80-100fps when fog is on full but it still lags, and i hate fog lol!

You must update your graphic drivers. Did that for mine and it worked for me.

like said before:

  1. update your drivers
  2. dront run any other programs
  3. check your internet if your running it online
  4. try adding some mods to disable block dropping, really helps speed it up

Thanks guys I have it sorted, anyone who has the same issue just right click minecraft and run with high powered nividia processor (if you have dedicated graphics)

btw I feel honoured to be in your sig hawk :P
