(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Was wondering if anyone could help me out. Im looking to get a new laptop before I go to uni in the next month or two, but I really dont have a clue about what specs it should have. Well, I know the obvious bits, memory, hard drive and such, but more like what processor should I be looking to get. I was thinking intel i5 but is there an AMD processor or such that offers the same power but at a cheaper price?

I want one with a 15.6" screen, 320gb+ HDD, 3gb+ memory and preferably a HD display. If anyone knows of any off the top of their head that have really good reviews, for around the £400-500 mark, I'd be really grateful. I live in the UK btw so no US sites please.

Thanks!

HP G60-549DX 4gb RAM, Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU@ 2.10GHz, 64-bit and mine has a 220gb HDD but i think you can pick between sizes. Look on the HP website

Thing is I have a Dual Core now, and my laptop just generally fails so hard, freezes, takes about 10 mins to boot, programs are slow to open etc, it might just be the laptop but isnt it mainly down to the processor? I dont know. Thanks for the reply though.
