laptop for travel and anything else (macbook pro)
and a desktop for gaming (custom built XD)

I have both, my desktop is terrible. It takes 30 mins to load up then take 20 seconds to change a page on internet :FU: so I just use my laptop which is brand new and awesome! Happy

Depends on the specs, you can't judge for instance a Pentium 4 to a ****ing Mac Book. Laptops are inferior to anyone planning to stress a system by gaming, video editing, or working. They are small and have minimal air flow, so your system can easily overheat if in the wrong environment.

I use my laptop for everything because the cheapo Dell Vostro 200 Slim has no graphics card.
