Hey Guys, Imma buy an i7 laptop next week. lol its a Dell Inspiron. Haha don't laugh..
anyway its the best among all the other weaklings ive seen. Most of the laptops sold around here have i3 and i5 processors with Intel graphics chips.

The Dell im gonna buy utilizes the Sandy Bridge Technology and sports 4 cores and Nvidia gt 525m. Anyways...im kinda scared coz i can't afford to buy a RETAIL store extended warranty for 170 bucks. They said they are gonna cover laptop screens, wear and tear, failures..etc.

I dunno...i feel like risking it...since as I have said I can't afford it. Sure Dell may not be the best brand out there, but I have looked at another forum and it seems that the people with Dell Inspirons have been using theirs for YEARS...like average (4-5) and they are still using it until now without any problems.

Its gonna be a gamble for me, considering this is my first big buy using my own money...and i have sacrificed a lot..lol. Um..any thoughts that would ease my restless mind?

Do you guys think my laptop's gonna last me at least 3 years?

THANKS! Happy

cool, thanks. But as a user, i am REALLY careful with my things. I have never dropped the laptops at home lol.

Im just kinda scared, you think the laptop's gonna last me at least 3 years assuming I never drop or spill anything on it? Also I will have to do video editing/pics on it, as well as light-moderate gaming.

Haha Congrats on your 200th! Anyway I appreciate your advice/input.

However I hope other people comment on my thread too, coz I want to get as much advice as possible lol.

Especially regarding the lifespan on an average laptop thats being used everyday and moderate gaming like starcraft 2. And any tips out there would be appreciated! Like if its ok to use the laptop for hours straight without breaks. around 3-4 hours.
