(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK so my laptop is new, but it only has 2GB of RAM and when I play Minecraft is is laggy etc. so I was searching through Google and seen this: You must login or register to view this content.

Would I be able to put like 5-6GB of RAM in? I have no idea about this stuff so if this is completely wrong I am sorry :p

No , a new processor would be better fitted for it or open your task manager and set minecraft priority to high.

More ram wouldn't help to much as the only thing that additional RAM does is allow your computer to do more things at once, not actually make it faster. So if you normally have a few dozen windows open before you launch minecraft, you'll see some speed improvement by upgrading, or you could just close a few apps.

It all depends really , it'd be rather pointless getting a new processor for the sake of such a game. But have a look at this video and do what it does Smile

Want be much better without changing hardware, but it may improve it yes. So it isn't worthless.
Another thing is to open task mngr, and close all processes which is not needed. And it may help closing explorer.exe, because it uses alot of memory, but make sure you know how to recover it. Task bar, start menu, will be removed while closing it, but can easily be recovered.

Are sure it is your RAM that needs upgrading? It could be your internet connection or processor.. Don't automatically assume its your RAM...
