(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My birthday is coming up, July 30 (feel free to wish me an early birthday :p) and I want to get an Alienware laptop because I have to play Minecraft with no smooth lighting, viewbobbing off, and short render distance. So I want to know which model is the best? I'm going to max out all the specs anyway. Also, what is that gaming mouse, Razor I think, it has buttons on it to bind to actions. The WoW mouse is way too expensive. Anyway on this laptop I'll be doin 75% gaming/NGU, 15% web browsing (Facebook, email, Google+, etc.), and 10% editing. Also I want something that can run all the CoDs, BF3, WoW at max quality settings with good FPS (my desktop PC can do that), and pretty much every Steam game. I also want to be able to run Minecraft with smooth lighting, view bobbing, and render distance far.

EDIT: DESKTOP PC!!!! IF YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW CAPTAINSPARKLEZ' PC I WOULD <3 YOU 4EVER! OTHERWISE JUST LEAVE SUGGESTIONS FOR DESKTOP PCS. I ASKED HIM ON TWITTER

Alienware is overpriced and has complete crap battery life (about 4 hours my friend said his had) and weighs heaps, I say get a desktop and build it yourself for much cheaper, you
're pretty much paying $2000 for the brand name and 1000 for the specs, but if you want a laptop either try finding a laptop with good specs but not Alienware, trust me they aren't that great, you are paying for the brand name and a couple LEDs.

My friend bought an M15X and pretty much got the best specs and he runs everything fine, but I'm just saying, desktop would be better for your/parents wallets and also it would be much better, but hey if you want it so bad get it, it does what you want it to do, but just saying if you want portability it isn't really the best at it.

In the end it's your decision, just wanted to give you some advice Smile

Also in advance Happy Bday Smile

I wasn't really concerned about portability or battery life because it will be plugged in 99% of the time and so I also decided to get a desktop seeing that everywhere I go is really a place to take a break from gaming.

Yea, desktops are much better if you want good specs and for pc gaming, and also shouldn't cost too much to get versus a laptop, I'm no PC expert though so you will have to ask someone for recommended specs and that.

He is after a gaming PC to play cod and battlefield, if it was just for casual use and that a Mac would be the better option, but it is gaming he is after and Macs don't support cod or battlefield yet
