Climbing up the ladder
That does seem able to run crysis. Go check the crysis game and see what is the minimum that you could have and the maximum.

I'd find a decent gaming computer (desktop) on ebay, and then buy a netbook for school.

Worth the Weight
Really I see no point in buying a Desktop and a Netbook. Netbooks are slow, cheap, and aren't reliable, unless you go with a Mac, but they cost a lot. This laptop seems really good for what it is. The graphics card is like 5x better than mine. So yeah, I'm pretty sure you can run Crysis 2. Not on max, but you should be getting it to run at around mid-high (not max).

Just buy this laptop, upgrade whatever you can whenever needed, and use it. Unless you WANT to buy a desktop, I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you REALLY want to play games 24/7. Then your laptop will eventually overheat if used for such long periods of time. But I don't think your that type of person to game for 12 hours straight. Laptops are pretty much the same to desktops when it comes to overall performance, but then again, there is an awful lot of space for cooling in a desktop, while a laptop doesn't really have that much space to offer in terms of cooling.

In short, buy this if you are going to be playing like 4-5 hours and using it for school the rest, if you want this primarily for gaming, and nothing else, get a desktop. But beware, netbooks are shit.
