Post: Worth Upgrading?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi,
Im looking at getting the best possible FPS on GTA 4

At the moment i have

Phenom II x4 970 @4.1ghz
4gb DDR2
HD 5870 core-900 mem-1300

The Benchmark is saying 53frames average, but when you actually play the game areas are 35 and below. I started off thinking about just replacing the motherboard to one that supported ddr3, but wasnt sure if it was worth it or i should just upgrade to i5-2500k with 4gb ddr3, and maybe my GPU. Thanks in advance

are you sure you've updated your game?, I was getting better fps than that with a worst setup(better memory, GTX 460 hawk)... and i was playing at like 45+...

DDR2 ram is getting old. 4gb DDR3 it shouldn't cost you that much.

My gta is a few patches behind because I like using the custom scripts like zombies and stuff, I was just wondering how much difference an i5 and DDR3 would make?
