you want a laptop that can run at a good resolution (amount of pixels on screen) and can produce a good FPS (frames per second, consoles are limited to 30-60, most pcs average around 100 odd).
and seeing as left 4 dead is an easy game to run you should look at laptops in the midprice range really.
the main thing you want to look at is the graphics card inside it, ones with nVIDIA ones are generally very good.

my friends keeps telling me laptops aren't that good for Left 4 Dead but I always thought Left 4 Dead isn't like wow it's not that massive you know so it should run good
