Post: USB External HDD Help Needed

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok so im thinking of getting a 500gb external usb hdd and my first question is seagate or western digital my second question is how would i be able to make this hdd into fat32 since i need this hdd to backup my ps3s hdd and the ps3 can only support fat32 thanks to anyone who will help

Really it's personal preference. I prefer WD simply because I've always had good drives from them.

As for your second question, you can format it to fat32 right in windows:

from my research to my understanding you can only format 32gb Hdds or less to fat32 using windows but I can't find a definite way of getting all 500gb to fat32

That limitation is just a windows limitation, depending what brand you go with, they do have tools on their website to partition and format the drive. Sorry that was something that slipped my mind when i made that original post.
