How do you want to install it? Do you want to install it to a new computer? Overwrite Windows or another OS? Install it to a virtual machine (leaving everything intact)? Or simply install alongside Windows? Or would you like to install it as a LiveCD?

After that, you'll need to select a method of install. In essence, are you planning on solely running Linux, thus wiping out all data currently stored on your computer (including your current operating system, and all files on it)? Or would you rather run it alongside your operating system, and therefore not lose your current operating system, or any data currently on your computer?
