When I would turn on my laptop the screen wouldn't come on but all I had to do was shake the screen a little bit and the computer would start up. Just a few days ago the screen wouldn't come on anymore. A friend said it was probably the inverter, so I replaced it and I still have the same problem. I also tried to hook up an external monitor and but that doesn't work either. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

When you say video are you referring to the graphics card?
