What you should do (if you're okay with spending more money) is switch to a solid state drive. You should buy two (or more), and load your operating system on one, and your files on the others. An SSD will speed up your computer, and could technically help if you were to somehow physically damage them. And, separating your operating system(s) from your files is generally a plus. What I do is I install my operating system on one drive, my primary files/games on another, and I keep all my other files on an external harddrive.

I like that idea, But I'm struggling to figure out how?

If you would like spend more money buy an SSD. It is not a necessity but you can store your operating system on it to make your load times much faster.
Here is a page of SSD if you don't understand. You must login or register to view this content.
I would also suggest the Logitech G500 gaming mouse. I own this mouse and love it. Had it for 4 months and no problems.

I think I'll definately change to an SSD Smile Whilst reading the link it says about not being able to overwrite encrypted files and can only write encrypted files to new space? That sounds slightly worrying please if you can explain?

As for the mouse, the Razer mouse in the cart is primarily for my laptop and I will be using my Sidewinder X8 for my desktop so I'll be fine with that, thanks alot!

Basically if you want to encrypt data or files to make them secure, an SSD makes it much harder because the old unsecure files are not overwritten by the new secure files. This shouldn't be a problem unless your l33t hackorz or work for the FBI. If it is you can buy special SSD that allows auto overwrite.

Allright, sounds like the perfect switch for me then Smile
You don't happen to know how to install the OS on one SSD and store all the files on the other?

Thanks.

Its the same as a normal hard drive.
The only problem with Solid State Drives i find is that they are so expensive for the capacity! But if you wait like 6 months or so im sure the price will drop!
Or i have a 256gb ssd with my os on it and then a 1.5tb hard drive as a spare (but i put the main things on it!)
