I dont have a clue what they are so if you could provide some usefull websites or explain a little about them yourselves would be great.

cryptography.

that's about as far as i'm willing to go when comes to talking about it.
why are you interested in learning, if you're a noob?(it takes more than a noob to learn about encryption/decryption)
also a good place to start working with encryption/decryption for noobs is You must login or register to view this content. as that's where you can write out plain text and make your own little way of getting the text back. there should be a tut on how to use it on here somewhere.
