You would need to find a root exploit for the VPS that the game runs on, and gain access to its SSH console. From there you can edit anything you want. Finding out what OS the server is running is the hard part.

Just saying, most games have checksums and if the data you attempt to edit doesn't match, they tend to just reset your account.
