Post: Moving programs help plz

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK.. i am wondering how to move a program from one computer to another because someone said you can.. he said "you can move programs from one laptop to another by using a USB------USB(each end has USB on it) cable but i would like to know if anybody else has heard about this and can help out a fellow NGUer.

i havent, but you can use a flash drive, just be sure to copy the setup file

Setup file?

The setup file is a file used to setup the software/ hardware. It's real name is 'setup.exe' find that and all the other files for the software you are using and transfer it using a USB Device.

setup means install pretty much. when you do that tho it want work if its a paid program(photoshop etc.) so i reccomend buying another copy or ofcourse do the dirty work with keygens. hope i helped man

I think he means something that's installed and he doesn't have the setup file. A small minority of programs can be copied across by copying the program files, but without it, like the guys said you'll need the setup file. It puts things into the registry and all sorts, so it's not as easy as copy and paste I'm afraid.
