Do it in Python or some other shit.

I'm assuming you probably worked with Visual Basic since you don't want to use it. If you want to stick to a language in the .NET framework you could try C# which you will find a lot of help from members here.

Or you could jump into C++ or as Dan suggested Python. Honestly it just boils down to what you know and how familiar you are with it.
