(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a 2Wire modem, And my friend says I can increase my upload speed by messing with some of the modem settings. I type my IP into the web browder & it takes me to the site, But I can't figure out what to mess with. Any Tutorials or tips you guys have, will be repped.

Thanks, I meant to put "might be wrong section". The only reason I put it in PS3, Cause the connections only bother me while playing PS3 online.

You could probably get your download speeds up Like say if you get 5mbps per second (u wont ever download that high) you'll say download at a speed of 500kbps depending on where your downloading from. But yeah if you use copper cables or something you could increase the speed.

best advice is to go on youtube and search it. I know what your trying to do is force your upload speed so its faster.

It could be a few issues stemming to your internet difficulty.
* Your router or modem are having issues communicating with each other.
* Your ISP connection may have gone bad due to old wiring, old modem, or old router. In which case the ISP would provide assistance on replacing those three.
* You may have malware, spyware, trojans, virals, etc. In which case you would use a free but limited cleaner such as CCLeaner, Microsoft Security Essentials from softpedia, Malwarebyte Antimalware, AVG, Avast, etc. Most of them you need to pay to have a better cleaning service. Also clean your registry. Those may account for several issues including performance and connectivity.
* The hosts you visit have varying speeds. Connecting to one host may be very fast, the next is very slow, the next is average. They all have varying speeds. So have patience with them.

These could be reasons. Even sharing your internet with family members can slow it down.

Try a speed test and see the results. maybe get a better internet package with your provider.

Give them a call. They can always help. Or you could just ask your friends what they did.

Like Lucifer's said, the best option is to call your ISP first. I tell this to everyone that has some sort of a speed issue as it's primarily there responsibility. After they've done what they can, if you're still having issues, I can go through settings and tests with you if you'd like.
