I want to learn how to reball, but upon searching for the tools needed to carry out the process I have found it to be quite expensive. I think I have some of the basic things listed for it but if I have made a mistake or missed out something then please post!

I've been watching videos of people reballing PS3s for hours and I can say I just about get it, but I am still unclear about some other things...

1. What is the copper wire from the GPU/CPU for?
2. Is there any cheap alternatives to buying a £300 rework station?
