PURELY FOR ENTERTAINMENT, TO AVOID BEING ATTACKED AND BEATEN HALF TO DEATH I RECOMMEND BACKING IT UP ON A USB.
 Get the file
Back it up on an External Storage Device (USB, CD etc.)
Rename the file and just add ".txt" to the end of the file name
Open the .txt, it should have a bunch of coding.
 Delete a single character.
 Save it again
Rename it to the original file extension (For Word 07+ it's .docx, Word 97-03 is .doc)
Try open it. The file is now corrupt.
NOTE: I told you to back it up because after doing this there is no possible way to recover it otherwise. Replacing the missing character does nothing because it is screwed up the minute you edit it and convert it back to the original format.
