Hello, I am new on the forums so I thought I should make a quick and easy tutorial on how to patch the widely used program WinRar.
WinRar is used by thousands of people to unpackage/package larger files.
Many of you probably use WinRar frequently since many files we download today are packaged with WinRar, or some other type of program. For those of you that use WinRar probably notice that annoying little box that pops up every time you try to extract a file(s). In this little tutorial I will show you a simple way to stop that box from coming up, and basiclly (patch) your WinRar to a licensed version of it.
Before I start please download both the needed files below.
You must login or register to view this content.
*You can only use the (32bit) version of WinRar for this to work.
You must login or register to view this content.
After you have both of those download and installed, open Resource Hacker.
Drag and drop your WinRar shortcut into the Resource Hacker retangle.
11 Folders should now be in the white rectangle.
Double click the folder "Dialog".
Scroll through all the folders until you find the folder called "REMINDER"
Click "REMINDER" and you should see a different icon named as some numbers, mine was "1033".
Right click this and click "Delete Resource".
Then goto File > Save as > (Anything).exe *Must have .exe at the end.
Exit out of Resource Hacker and find where you saved your Patched WinRar at.
Congratulations you have patched your WinRar.
