To get you into the tracks of programing start with Visual Basic as it is a simple language, if your looking to code games you will be best off using c# Smile

I'm not going to link you to anything, if you want to learn you find the resources yourself. To get the application go to Google and search for Visual Basic express...

I would start with Batch first then move on to Visual Basic but that is me. After Visual Basic i'd start Delphi as they are similar. Then move onto something more complex like C#, Java, C++ etc.

To be honest I would say "Jump in at the deep end" and chase C# straight away as it has more uses and is fun to code with as it offers endless options and hardly any restrictions.

Visual Basic imo is a terrible first language, its syntax differs from most programming languages and its rather a pathetic language it self anyway, personally i found C++ the easiest to learn (First language), as its compilers are more simple to use Smile (DevCpp)
