First off, C# is, if anything, better than VB.NET (and in many ways simpler), either way, neither VB.NET or C# are particularly complex, at least in comparison to other languages. C#, in my opinion, is actually better than VB.NET because its actually closer to really any other programming language out there.
And don't hate on C++, its a topnotch language used by many programmers.
