Well, I wanted to start learning Java through books only because where I live; there are no classes of such offered for 20 miles. I have a few books picked out, but they're just a little more advanced, I need a book made completely for beginners that will explain and go into depth with things I need to learn before I continue on to the other books, such as Packages, Classes, Statements, Methods and so on.
I had one book in mind "Java Programming for the Absolute Beginner"
-Only problem is: I can't find a torrent/PDF for it and I'm not too sure if it's a good book to start with? if it is infact a great beginners book, I'll spend the money, but if there are better choices out there in which I can torrent, that'd be greatly preferred.
Any Advice, Suggestions, or Help would be much appreciated!
Well, if I was you, I'd check out
You must login or register to view this content.. They're video tutorials, they start off very basic, and are easy to follow along, they also engage you and have you actively write code.
If that doesn't work for you (but trust me, it'll work for you) I would highly recommend any of O'reilly' s Java books, they're all great, and he has a few pretty basic ones. If neither of those work for you, then let me know and I'll get you the book you mentioned...
