All you need to do is add a cookie to your browser.

To add it:
- Load YouTube
- Open the developer console (Ctrl-Shift-J for Chrome...Ctrl-Shift-K for Firefox
- Enter document.cookie="VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=ST1Ti53r4fU";
- Reload YouTube

Check it out, its quite the improvement.

No, I only had that grey background color off before. But not the rest.
