You answer your question yourself, you will need to have an understanding of the hardware and software. If you are wanting to modify data then you will need to have some sort of an idea as to what you are looking at.

Before you jump into that I would advice you research a little bit around the web.

awesome yes ive try researching but i really dont know what im looking for towards a psp. Im not sure whether what i must modify is the eboot or if its internally or if its the motherboard.
I just need a hint of what i must modify and from there i could work up to obtaining what evers inside the object.

I'd love to try and help try and open up and see but I don't own a PSP nor will I ever :/

Was considering getting a DS and making an attempt to modify the startup menus and everything, but I'm broke lol.

ohh if i had the money i would gradly buy you one but like everyone else in the world were all having issues with money.

Ok i saw more into it n the type of coding for games is LUA CODING.

i would like to know if thats something i should learn.

Also i think that having to modify a games language codes would rather have more to do with the actual game file and less the machine. The psp is multi meaning it supports any language
so it wouldent make sense if i have to modify it so a game be in a different language, but then again i might be wrong. What do you think?

Lua is a programming language - sometimes used as a scripting language. It's pretty light-weight and its syntax seems pretty clear. From what I've heard, it's popular in games and embedded systems - although I don't know if you'd want to program an entire game in Lua.

To be able to reverse engineer applications - games included, you'll need a good knowledge of both reverse engineering, and Assembly. As far as programming your own games, it seems that you can do it in a number of languages, everything from C on up.

Ohh ok i see well im looking into just changing the language of a game more specifically from JAP to ENG. What do you recommend i do, do you suggest reverse engineering or anything else. Im just wanting the language . Also what does it take for you to put up a tutorial maybe a more simple game or something irrelevent.

By language are you talking about the menus and the subtitles to English or are you talking about converting it so it can play on English devices.
