Yea, well in September I have a person in which I can call for a part time manufacturing job that will pay about 18-20 bucks an hour. You must be 18 years old to do it, if I was 18 before June 1st, I'd be able to be hired and have a full time job over summer but since I am not, I have to wait until I am 18.

There is a major company "Gallo" and others like Lays Chips that are about 15-20 minutes driving distance from where I live. They have a program that gets High School grads a job after they complete their testing program. I went through it already, just have to turn of age.

I am sure I will have a job in about 3-4 months but I want one now so I can have money in my pocket for summer things and possibly some saved up for a new desktop or other things I might like.

Familiar in C# programming. I can read and understand C++ as well as Java. I only can program Java in console application as my computer never could handle anything farther than that, barely could survive Eclipse.

I do wish to learn PHP soon, if my Pokemon game project starts going well, I hope to create a website for people to download it from that is completely written from me.

As for writing applications to sell, there really isn't any applications that I could make and just sell for profit unless I spend a lot of time on it and then I would have to do a lot of advertising and handling. Not really worth it. I am working on a Pokemon Gambeboy Editor. Starting out with map tile editing, doing the basics, replace x with y and save to produce a changed map. Then I plan on working on coding something so you can make edits to the tile as well as expanding the loaded map size.

That's my first goal, it's the hardest thing out of everything but I found someones notes on the internet that has every tile mapped out which saves me many hours of work figuring out which tile is which and where each and everything is...

If it is successful, I am releasing for free but if it turns out to be a really great program, might go for the demo + purchase sort of thing.

Very true, make a File binder + crypter. Would easily sell for 5-10 bucks a piece but honestly, right now I don't feel like messing with people trying to sell.

Answering the OP's question – this isn't the best way to go about it (wanting to write a program but not knowing what to do). The best way is to be very attentive in your life about things you do day-to-day on your PC/Mac, and think about what you can do to improve your workflow and solve a problem. That way, the focus is on solving a problem, and programming is a means to an end. Hopefully that way you'll find something which other people will be interested in buying, too. Good luck!
