(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey,

I am a massive Liverpool FC fan and an aspiring sports journalist. I was advised to start a blog to, you know, get the hang of things in the sports journalism world. Everything is going great, the blog is up and running, I made a twitter account which has attracted a large fan base and I'm coping ok.

I'd like to step it up a little. Make a custom website that's easy to navigate, and has the opportunity to expand into something bigger, that will attract many fans and build up my followers.

I was wondering how much it would cost (if any of you can do this) to make a website, basically, identical to this one:

You must login or register to view this content.

I have many changes that will be made to it in mind, and it will all be discussed once I can find someone to do so.

I'm trying to create competition for sites such as

You must login or register to view this content.
You must login or register to view this content.

obviously I only report on one particular club, but, in the long run I want a fan base like the 2 sites above.

Name your price,

thanks!!

If you want good coding then the price tag would be £50 - £1650
Statics are cheap if you want dynamic it will be pricy. You have to take into consideration of the copyright on that site. I direct copy (ie view source or httrack web compier) would probably end up with a DMCA notice. Someone would have to recode this without using the site as a reference. Although you want to modify the aesthetics it could still end up with a DMCA for copying the original. Contact the admin and see if he is will to lend you the theme in exchange for money/credit/change of base layout(I doubt it tho).
So I would say get a designer to make it from scratch without using that site as a reference. What engine are you using? Price also heavily counts on that.

I don't know anything about most of this, just want the website made. I saw the copyright and I will definitely instruct the coder to start from scratch to make sure I don't have any trouble, I used that site as an example because its very easy to get around and I like how it is, sort of, animated....with the drop down box when you hover over "About"...if you know what I mean!

Well I've spoken to a coder someone directed me to, offered to do it for $200, so $200.

The "animation" you're talking about is simple(really really) simple CSS. And you can get TONS of free CSS menus on the net. What website are you currently running your blog on? Wordpress? Joomla? Drupal? These are all what we call engines. For e.g NextGenUpdate runs on the VBulletin engine.
You say you have a designer so why the need to post? $200 is quite cheap!

Posting to see if:
1) I could find anyone cheaper
2) If I could find someone more...talented. I've only seen a few examples of his work, and their good, but I reckon there must be someone here that's better

Yeah I use wordpress, but I'd want the engine that the website I want to be like (kopthat.co.uk) is using, whatever it is!

I have emailed him asking about the template/theme, I'll see what he says!

On chrome(or any other browser) right click any were then click view page source.
The find a line similar to this:
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://kopthat.co.uk/wp-content/themes/outreach/style.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />

    /wp-content/themes/outreach/style.css

The red is the folder. Your welcome Smile
