(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hey guys i wanted some help, i recently bought a Alienware M14x R2 and i was wondering if there was a way to overclock the cpu.

Specs:
Intel i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40 ghz
BIOS A09
Nvidia GT 650M 2GB GPU
16 GB ram

and if any other info is needed let me know Smile

but yea could i overclock this in some way?

This is the wrong area to post this and I'm sure it's possible to overclock all Alienware PCs although I myself am not sure how.

I would keep it stock. Since its a laptop, I would think that cooling would be a problem.

Do a barrel roll!
keep it stock there would be no real reason to overclock an i3630 because that's good for a laptop cpu.
you could however overclock the 650 gpu with either afterburner or precision

Thanks for the info everyone and complete I thought over it and I thought ye I'm not over locking the CPU but for the gfx car I'm using afterburner and I have it set to 135/235 is it good or should. Put the other one higher or lower?

you can overclock the 650 with afterburner to way more than 135/235 i don't know the core clock on it is.
but you should just increase it by like 20 percent up until it crashes like goes blank then. you'll have to reset your computer then turn it down to where it is for your max performance.

I'm not using a moded bios so core click goes till 135 max and that's what I have it on and the other one goes till 1000 and I have it on 540 now and still my temps are going to a max of 65
