Within the book, there are examples and explanations. The book stretches from an introduction to the C language all the way into an introduction to object-oriented programming in C++. If learning through a book works better than using a website, this book is definitely for you. This is what was used in my college computer science 101 class, as well as it is used for higher-level courses that use C.
