Post: Windows Media Player will not open in Vista

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Things I've tried:

- Double clicked the shortcut.
- Opened file location and double clicked the wmp.exe.
- Did both of the above as "administrator".

I get no response. After I do that I get no error message or anything, just stays as is. I need help, please help me.

Did not work... It said I couldn't downgrade.

Easy. This happened to me.
Double Click WMA.
Then open up task manager and the process should be there.
Just find it and click "End Process Tree"
Then restart your computer and you should be able to open it

It aint in the task manager. There aint a process for it or anything...

You should download CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) and that will install Media Player Classic - Home Cinema, this is by far the best player on the net it will play any file you can find on the net I use it for watching everything I download.

It's a codec pack that comes with a media player you can download the media player separately by just searching for a download.
