I have a modem hooked up with one linksys router, We will call that router (1) Now I would like to hook up my other router so I tried putting an ethernet cable in the slot 1 and running it down into the internet of router 2 (wireless linksys) then I tried directly connecting my ps3 to router 2 using slot 1 but when I try to connect I get a DNS ERROR HELP PLOX

MAP

Modem---Router--------Router------Ps3<Awesome faceNS ERROR

NOTE: I also tried hooking up 1 modem for each router got a DNS ERROR too

Okay, I connected to router (2).
1.I disabled dhcp
2.I assigned a specific dns ip
I try to connect and I still get a dns error.

Check the DHCP settings on router 1 and make sure it's providing the correct DNS server to DHCP clients.

Plug a computer into router 2 after connecting it to router 1 and try pinging the IP address of router 1. If that works, then I'll try to think of what could be causing the DNS issue.

Does the PS3 let you manually configure an IP address and DNS servers? If so, that's probably the best way to do it if you'll be disconnecting it from the network often.
