What do I have to do to fix this?

Right click it and press un-install, the computer needs to update the drivers :y:

You might have to format your External, otherwise you will need to get your Ports checked by a computer specialist.

this happened to me before and i did that exact thing and it WORKED :p

I just used TeamViewer with marios50 and he uninstalled it but had to leave. I just went into safe mode with networking and when I plugged it in it said install failed.

I just bought it last night. It worked fine the first time, I tried to use it today and it doesn't want to work

Try formatting it.

How can I format it if it doesn't even pop up in My Computer? I tried through MS-DOS to but I might being doing it wrong. Can you or someone else explain.

Try another cable or another port on your pc or try restarting it. If not press CTRL+DEL and end the application if its running and re-try.
