Post: PCI-E 2.0 Nvidea GTS 450 work With PCI-EX v16. Need Help

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I Purchased a nvidea GTS 450. and it is a PCI-E 2.0. and my mother board extension slots have these
PCI2
PCI1
PCI-E V16

which slot would i put my graphics card in. please Help.

PCie x16 slot.
I'm not sure but the later series may use PCie 3.0 so make sure your mobo has those slots if so and make sure you have a sufficient power supply to deal with that power house of a GPU :p.

Yeah. Like F33L said, the x16 is the one it goes in. Make sure you plug in the power to the graphics card.

the graphics card is a pci-e 2.0. it seems to fit fine in the PCI-EX x16 slot. i plugged the power into it. it fits but im not sure if it will work right when i turn the computer on. i haven't finished the computer yet. im at the part were you start to plug all of the drives and power supply stuff into the motherboard.

i hava a 500w power supply. i cant tell you how many whats my rig is using. i tried to run it last night and it would not turn on. i have a Storm Scout case. i think it might've shorted somewhere.
