ect.
Now I've never had any troubles with fps problems before with fraps *until recently* which started like about a week ago.
Edit : Question, I plan on getting a capture card (Avermedia live gamer portable) for ps3/pc recording (for pc does it affect the fps drops? would be a huge help if it didn't)
Edit 2 : I also forgot my games have been crashing as well lately (not even running with fraps) and it randomly crashes without warning.
Well fraps causing an FPS issue isn't a new thing. It could be as simple as defragging the drive that fraps is recording to.
Any type of capture device that handles all the processing won't affect your PC's performance.
