(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello, I have a Compaq, windows 7 laptop. I can hardly even access google it's so slow and laggy. What should I do? I want it to run fast so I can download things and use YouTube. Please help me out and thanks in advance.

Try disabling some useless things here....

Windows + R (RUN)
Type Msconfig
Go over to services
Hide all Microsoft services
And disable the things you don't need

Control panel
System and Security
System
And then click on "Advanced system settings" on the left side of the page
Advanced
Performance settings

Here you can disable the things that make your computer look fabulous, i'm running Windows 8 and i only use 3 options because they or not needed.

Or you could try downloading a cleanup tool such as Advanced System Care or CCleaner.

Advanced System Care will also optimise your internet options.

Just remove all the programs that you have installed that you don't need. Run a virus scan to make sure you don't have anything slowing it down.

MalwareBytes has always been the free one I used.
