(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So i want to start recording gameplay and i really want an elgato game capture device. But i have one question
My computer has the 4gb ram but the processor is only 1.6ghz and the requirements say 2.0ghz required. Can i still use it or do i need to get something else, if something else, and recommendations?

Yeah you can use it, but it will have bad experiences with lag and such.

I'm a god.
What processor do you have? If it's higher than a dual core you'll be fine.

If I recall I used my HDPVR on a AMD dual core and I never experienced any lag. So I say you'll be fine. :p

Do a barrel roll!
If you are looking at the elgato but don't meet the requirements I would suggest the Avermedia Live Gamer HD/Portable.
Its within about $20 of the elgato.
With the Portable you don't even need a computer to record, you can save it to SD cards and then transfer it over.
Not sure if the PCI-e needs anything CPU wise since it has the h.264 encoder built in.
Either way good luck

You should be fine to run it but yea you will experience some lag on the application and your system.
