Then if I stop playing the game, it will go back to normal within minutes. If anyone could give me any advice about this, it would be very appreciated.My laptop is an Asus R500VJ if that helps answer my question.

try pulling out the battery while playing so it only uses the power cord as a power source. this isnt a great fix but it should stop your computer from freaking out on you
