(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); here are my system specs and the computer is new i just bought it a few days ago
HP 15 Notebook PC running windows 8.1
Processor: AMD E1-2100 APU with Radeon(TM) HD Graphics 1.00 GHz
Installed RAM: 4.00 GB (3.45 GB usable)
System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

i want to upgrade it for gaming and i am a hardcore player and was wondering what graphics card i should get and what else should i get for it plus a price estimate. i have never done anything like this before and would also like to know what kind of brain power will it take and if its complicated or should i get a professional to set it up.

For starters, a notebook is a BAD candidate for gaming. The components inside a notebook are mostly soldered to the motherboard and you cannot upgrade them. Only RAM and the Hard Drive will be interchangeable. Also, for future reference, NEVER buy an HP for gaming. I personally recommend an ASUS branded computer. (Desktop mostly, but they sell quality notebooks too.) Neither AMD nor HP makes laptops to game on. You cannot replace the graphics on a notebook PC. You can on a desktop PC, but not notebook. Why? Because the graphics chip is soldered to the motherboard. You remove it, you scrap the entire computer. The only currently known way to add a graphics card to a notebook is through a Thunderbolt port, and even THAT is in early development. Not fully possible, at this time. Now, about your processor. Quite frankly, it sucks. It's an AMD processor, AMD does not make high-end processors. They focus on budget processors, while they may compete with Intel normally, they lack a lot of features. Go with Intel as your main processor. Your current computer could probably game on Call of Duty: Ghosts on Med settings. At the most. (Also Call of Duty is NOT a high-end game, it does not require much to run.)

Now since I've informed you, time to look for a replacement. I recommend returning that laptop as soon as possible for a good refund. Once you've done that, look for a good quality desktop. I know a site where you can build your own machine for a cheap price with very little overhead costs. Here's the link: You must login or register to view this content. They specialize in computer building, and customizing.

Good luck to you.

Hope I helped you somewhat. Like this post if I did at all.

Any laptop is known to get hot. It's not just specific to an OEM. HP putting linux on machines isn't going to make any game company make games for linux since they don't have a distribution for the games. That's a steam thing.

HP doesn't have anymore issues then any other lap top on the market. Where did I say steam wasn't for linux? Pretty sure that's what I said would be making it more popular not the manufacture.

I've had alot of friends/people say HP will get way hotter than any other laptops, and i never stated just laptops i said HP in general but anyways your missing my point here HP will start to Make linux more mainstream And develop more of market for it...Honestly neither of us know what will happen So we wait!

Actually I do know what would happen because they aren't the first people to have done this. Years ago wal mart sold linux based PC's and guess what? They didn't sell despite the huge gap in pricing compared to a windows based pc.

I think I know what you're referring to. Those cheap netbook-style PC's, right? (i.e. ASUS EEE PC) Yeah, I still believe the main problem with those is that they were to small to really use properly. The keyboard, the trackpad, it was nightmarish.
