Are you getting ant error messages or is just hanging.

Nope no errors, just hanging on the starting windows screen read it could be HD? But I dunno

Could possibly be the HDD. You could try taking it out and plugging into another computer and see if it shows up?

Did your laptop come with any recovery disc's ?, if not then its built in. If you do have a disc then boot from it and go to repair system. Try that, if you have no disc then its built in.
