Post: Windows Boot Manager Screen?

Temp is my dad.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Everytime i turn on my laptop i get a windows boot manager screen it turns on and gets passed the manufacture screen then it goes black for about 10 minutes then the windows boot manager screen pops up saying windows has encountered a problem with something connected to my laptop and there isnt anything connected i cannot get into safe mode or anything because my laptop will not boot up that far so if anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it please help me out thanks Smile

you should list your latptop model number to start off to help us know what the issue is and write down exactly what it says

Its a compaq presario cq56 and it says windows has encountered a problem cummunicating with a device connected to your computer.

Status:0xc00000e9

Info: an unexpected I/O error has occured

I really dont know what to do but it has all my school work and notes and all that on it :( so i need help fast

only useful thing i can tell you is keep trying to get into your repair menu before the computer goes past post and attempts to load the os if you have the same os on a disk load into that first if you can choose the boot option menu and do a computer repair from that to see if it will fix it. Ive seen this or a similar issue happen 3 personal times to friends on laptops and almost everytime it was a hdd failure and it ended up being replaced from the OEM. Basically your bios is telling you it isnt reading one of your input devices correctly in the laptop when it goes through the boot setup which loads each hardware piece in a order more then not its the HDD that has failed.Keep trying to get into a menu and attempt a repair or restore if u can hell if you can even reinstall windows as custom and do not format if u do this the old files will be placed into a folder named windows.old and you can get your files that way worst case
