Merry Christmas!!! ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
So I got a 1TB external hdd for Christmas and I'm trying to format it to fat32 to work for my cfw PS3 (using multiman for games mostly) and when I format the drive using Windows it obviously has a 32gb limit (fat32) but I may be missing something here... Mind you I have had several drinks with the family over Christmas Eve hahaha so maybe I am missing something. But I know it can be done properly because I have a 100gb external hdd that is in fat 32 format and it's a full 97gb ... I just can't seem to remember how I formatted it for some reason... (Remember, alcohol is involved lol ho ho ho)
Thanks again NGU

Any links to tuts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
Just plug in the HDD onto your computer, go to
Computer Via start menu, find your External HDD, Right click it and click format. It will show a small window and where it says
file system change it to fat32. My advice is to also uncheck quick format and leave the allocation size to default.
Update: Lol Just reread the post my bad; but as itsallornone pointed out window can't format fat32 larger then 32 GB but you can format via DOS but problem with Dos is that it takes a long time. You can via format
/FS:FAT32 (Drive Letter): odds are it may shoot back an error.
Personally Since I have Seagate HDD's
I would use their program to do it.

Other then that though there was this other program I used to use but forgot what was the name though but was pretty good at formatting, splitting, and checking the HDD and Pen drives for bad space.
