I do not believe you can go from Vista to Windows 10. It's probably an older computer and may not be able to handle it.

My cousin has the same laptop that had windows vista but my one wasn't up and running when they got the notification for the update so I downloaded a copy just don't know if I can do it somehow , thanks for the reply

burn a copy of windows 8 or 8.1 to a usb or cd then run the setup and go from 8.1 to 10!

ive done it on my old laptop and worked fine
