(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If you're like me and take pride in being able to give yourself a Blue Screen of Death, then read on. (To the few people this may seem pointless too: It's just for fun/for show. Otherwise you're correct, it's pointless.

Two Notes First:
1) This will not harm your computer in anyway.
2) You'll need a Screen Lock key for this to work. (Just adding this not in, as some laptops don't have one).

This is a semi-well known registry hack, although since I know how annoying the registry can be, and because I iz a 1337 console-ha><or, I've converted this registry hack into a simple, one line command prompt.

Here's what you'll need to do:

1) Run Command Prompt as Administrator. (Start, All Programs, Accessories, Right-Click Command Prompt, Run as Administrator)

2) Type (or probably copy and paste) this text into Command Prompt and hit enter:

    REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters /v CrashOnCtrlScroll /t REG_DWORD /d 1

3) Restart the Computer.

4) Now, after you've logged back into Windows, hold down Control and hit Screen Lock twice in a row. You should get a Blue Screen of Death =D

This trick was actually added into Windows for testing purposes, so really, no harm done.

Well, Enjoy Happy

Manually:

1) Run regedit.exe

2) Navigate to "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters"

3) Change CrashOnCtrlScroll from "1" to "0".
That'll do it =D

If you have access to the registry then you can enter this key in manually...

... Or, if you hit your computer several times in critical locations with a hammer, you may get the BSoD.

The first way is safer though =D
