i'm nnot really a tech savvy type of person, but your better off building the desktop of your dreams instead of purchasing one that will be out of date within days of the purchase. alien wares are cool but just get parts and build it yourself, you'll get more power and everything you buy to go into it wont be obsolete within a week. it'd be more worthwhile and you'll get more powerful stuff for cheaper than the price of the alien ware

Wait...what?
That's a good machine, there's no doubting that. The only grudge I have against Alienware is that for the most part, you are paying for the name. I find their machines overpriced, but good.

If you are going to build your own computer, it's not as easy as it may sound. You need to make sure that all components are compatible, you need to figure out how much power it needs, you need to make sure to have anti-static wrist-bands and patience.

It is a fairly simple task in some parts, but not as easy as it may seem.

If you want to risk making it yourself, be careful. Don't want you sitting with £1000 worth of components, worthless because they aren't compatible or whatever ...

If you haven't built a PC before, and you're trying to build a high-spec one...I don't suggest it. Buy a pre-made one.

If you want to build your own PC, mess about with a crap one. Dis-assemble it and reassemble it again. If it works, you've done good. If it doesn't work, you haven't and you need to learn more.

But yeah, the money you'd spend on the components for a high-end computer is too much to risk unless you know how to build a computer.
