Other tips & tricks

Right mouse click key

I'm not sure what the button is called but it's the one to the right of the spacebar, just right of the windows key and left of the Ctrl key, it acts like right click on your mouse

Zoom in & out using your mouse

Press Ctrl on the keyboard while scrolling up or down using the scroller on the mouse to zoom in if you want to read smaller text or out if it's too big.

Automatic https:// & .com

When typing in a website for example 'nextgenupdate' into the URL you can press Ctrl+Enter which will automatically put https:// & .com around it which saves alot of time

Change the start menu programs
Right click on the toolbar and select properties > select the start menu tab> click the customize button.. here you can change your start menu programs (I only know that this works on Vista

Restart the computer without restarting[/B]
- start > shut down
- select shut down from the menu
- hold the shift key when pressing OK
- the operating system will restart WITHOUT restarting the computer.

One click shut-down[/B]
- right click your desktop and create new shortcut
- the wizard will appear and enter this in without the quotation marks "shutdown -r -t 01"
- click next button and rename the shortcut
- if you want to make it even faster, you can right-click the new shortcut you just made, go to properties, and type in X (or whatever letter) in the Shortcut Key box.

If you have any other tricks you would like to share leave a message Smile
Just to let you know i'm looking for quite simple and effective tricks.. not registry hacks etc[/I]

Also CTRL + ALT + Left or right, down or up. Flips screens(not sure for desktop PC's.)

EDIT: And pressing Tab can cycle through things on the internet. E.g Name boxs instead of having to click in the box.
